Sydney Water - Potts Hill
Lidoran Environmental Services (LES) was contacted by Cameron Burns from Sydney Water concerning the Critical Inventory Building, located in Potts Hill.
Occupational Hygienist Phil Clifton had been engaged to carry out an inspection of the 7,500sq mtr warehouse wherein he discovered asbestos contamination throughout the warehouse building.
The area was deemed unsafe due to the presence of friable asbestos, the LES boys got the call to carry out a decontamination and cleanup project of the entire internal area of the warehouse building.
The project required 5 guys over a 6 week period. Using Elevated Work Platforms (EWP’s) they vacuum cleaned every purlin, truss and horizontal surface, at the completion of the works a full clearance certificate was issued. The hygienist had given the thumbs up & was now deemed a safe area
