Moree Project
Lidoran Environmental Services were contacted in early May 2007 by one of Australia’s largest, well known companies. They were looking for a reputable contractor to carryout the removal of 2,500 sq mtrs of floor tiles and membrane containing asbestos.
The company was situated in the affluent cotton farming town of Moree – 8 hours north/west of Sydney.
Due to the premises being open for business7 days a week, it was not an option to close the store for a month to conduct the works. It was therefore decided the project would run out of normal operating hours, between 10pm and 6am.
The production was carried out in 9 separate stages which created quite a challenge as each stage involved setting up and establishing the new work area, demobilizing the area on completion and re establishing the next area. This works program ensured the store stayed fully operational.
The Lidoran Environmental Services boys worked continuously for 4 months. This was not all work and no play, as the boys got to enjoy the natural hot springs native to Moree.
The entire project was delivered back to the client – ahead of program time on all stages and on budget.
